…was blind, but now I see.

In his gospel, Mark describes the healing of a blind man from Bethsaida. Jesus restored his vision with his saliva and touch. On Monday, January 16th, free eye exams and eyeglasses will be offered to low-income residents of Monroe County.

The event, which is held at the Indiana University Eye Care Clinic, is sponsored by The Salvation Army, the Indiana University School of Optometry, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity students, the City of Bloomington, and the Bloomington Lions Clubs. It is offered to Monroe County residents who do not have private insurance, Medicaid or Medicare; and cannot afford vision care.

Participants must pre-register by calling The Salvation Army at 336-4310 or by visiting us at 111 N. Rogers St. between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Space is limited, so call us today!
