The Salvation Army Thrift Store is an associated organization whose profits support Salvation Army programming and the varied missions of The Salvation Army in Bloomington.
That means that when you shop at the Salvation Army you not only receive great deals on quality items, but you also support working families, the hungry, and the sick in our community. You also help prevent homelessness when The Salvation Army assists households with rent and utility assistance.

Truck Pickup (Furniture)
The Salvation Army Thrift Store accepts:
- Gently used Clothing
- Cars (Must be 10 years old or less)
- Gently used furniture
- Small Appliances in working order
- Electronics in working order
- Household goods
- Gently loved toys
Please do not donate the following items for public health and environmental reasons.
- Mattresses/Box Springs
- Hide-away couches (fold-away beds)
- Baby Beds/ Strollers/Car Seats/etc made before 2012
- Box/Tube TVs larger than 18 inches
- Grand Pianos/Large Organs
- Exercise Equipment
When you hand over your donations to Salvation Army representatives, please ask for a donation receipt for your tax records.
Donations must be made during Thrift Store hours. Drop donations off at the rear of the Thrift Store by the bay doors. Donations should not be left outside as they become subject to theft and weather. Your donations are tax deductable, so ask the friendly attendant for a receipt.
