Red Kettle Campaign – Help us reach our goal

(Columbus, IN, November 19, 2011) The Columbus Salvation Army is kicking off its Red Kettle Campaign, Saturday, November 19, 2011.  This year you can find bell ringers at the following locations: Big Lots, Elder-Beerman, JC Pennys, Kmart, Sam’s, Hobby Lobby, Rural King, Kroger, Marsh on State St., Marsh on 25th, Walgreens on 46, Walgreens on 31, both Wal-Mart, and the Edinburg Outlet Mall. “We are excited this year to start a week early, with the hopes that we will be able to achieve our goal for our Red Kettle Campaign. The Red Kettle Campaign is one of our major fundraising efforts that help support the programs that The Salvation Army offers. Not just in December but throughout the entire year” said Lt. Alan Sladek.

The Salvation Army is asking also for your support this year in ringing the bells. We are still looking for volunteers to donate 2 hours of their time, even ask a family member or friend to help. Imagine the impact that you and your friends or family can have on being a part of helping those within our community. Do not hesitate, call and reserve your kettle date, location and time today. Remember that your bell ringing will help The Salvation Army raise money to help those in need within our community.

All those interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact Lt. Jodi Sladek at 812/372-7118 and reserve your kettle time.
