Volunteer Bell Ringer Testimony

The following testimony was received by Lt. Jodi from an employee of Cummins. She has given Lt. Jodi the okay to share this testimony.

“I do not know why this is the first time that we have volunteered, or why it has taken so long. But it was one of the most uplifting experiences we as a family have had. Cummins allowed their employees the opportunity to volunteer during working hours this year. So I signed up, and insisted that my daughters (Chelsae 19, Jennah 17, and Tessa 14) join me for a family experience. Their car broke down on the way, so they were a little late getting to Walmart! My very first donation came from the Pastor that lives next door to us!! Once my daughters arrived it was easier to try and say hello, or Merry Christmas  to every single customer that came or went through the doors. We did purchase and hand out candy canes (I hope that this was ok). We were able to get even the unhappiest of people to crack a little smile, even if brief. The girls sang for customers upon request! And overall we found that as a family we truly enjoyed the time that we spent together helping to do good for others. We as a family live on a very tight budget, and have had to accept help from friends during the last few years, so we  understand what it is like to need as well as receive. And we were able to give this time in the only way that we could, by volunteering our time. We have decided to make this a yearly tradition for our family. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to help, and we will be back again next year and hopefully be able to volunteer more than once. Thank you again for the opportunity.”

We would like to say Thank you for your volunteer efforts!! as well as say thank you to all those who volunteered this Christmas Season.
