NICU Assistance Program
Charlotte Ministries is a NICU Assistance program, inspired by a staff member’s struggle with having a baby in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Evaluated on a case-by-case basis, The Salvation Army provides care packages as well as financial assistance for families with a child currently in an Allen County NICU (and in special cases, children with cancer or other medical issues.) Assistance is provided upon demonstration of need and based upon donations received.

CURRENT CASE: SYDNEY
New Charlotte Ministries Case: SYDNEY
Sydney is a 4 year old little girl diagnosed with Langerhans cell histiocytosis. She is currently receiving weekly chemotherapy treatments at Rileys Childrens Hospital to combat this very rare disease (estimated 1 in 200,000.)
Sydney loves the colors pink and purple, Barbies, baby dolls, and books. She has a 10 year old brother who loves Indianapolis Colts.
Family could use any assistance with mortgage, utilities, gas cards for their weekly Rileys trips, or grocery cards.
The Allen County Salvation Army will be accepting donations for Sydney until JULY 18, 2015.
TO GET INVOLVED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR:
We are constantly in need of donations for Charlotte Ministries! We are currently accepting:
- Gently used and new infant clothing
- Grocery Gift Cards
- Restaurant Gift Cards (NICU families often have to grab food on the go or take food back to the hospital.)
- Gas Cards (Many of our families drive to and from the NICU several times daily and gas costs alone can be staggering.)
- New Baby Hygiene Items
Donations can be delivered to the reception desk at 2901 North Clinton, Fort Wayne, MON-FRI 8:30 am -4:30 pm.
