Volunteer Opportunities 2014

Food Pantry – Year Round (Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 – 3:00)
Volunteers needed to help distribute food to needy families.

Nursing Home Visits – Monthly
Volunteers needed to visit with nursing home residents.

Tools for School Interviewing and Distribution – August
Volunteers needed to help interview families in need, fill backpacks, sort school supplies and distribute backpacks.

Fashion Show and Charity Auction – September
Volunteers needed to help backstage and at silent auction tables.

Christmas Programs – October through December

October – Intake for Christmas assistance
Volunteers needed for interviewing and data entry.  Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet and interact with families in need of assistance.

November – December – Kettle Ringing
Volunteers needed to ring at various locations, both individuals and groups.

December – Angel Tree & Adopt A Family Sorting
Volunteers needed to sort and package gifts for needy children in the community.

December – Nursing Home Blitz
Volunteers needed to distribute gifts to nursing home residents.

December – Adopt a Family Distribution
Volunteers needed to distribute gifts to needy families in the community.

December – Angel Tree Distribution
Volunteers needed to distribute gifts for needy children in the community.

December – Culver’s Day of Giving
Volunteers needed to serve food for tips at Culver’s on Dupont Road and W Washington Center Road. 10% of all proceeds go to The Salvation Army.
