Youth
Our youth of today are highly interested in initiative and leadership.
So as well as an information page, this will also be a page where our youth can go to find out about what’s happening and how much fun we’re having.
Psst – Have your folks left this page? Good – now here’s the real deal:
Instead of working for overkill on your hand to eye coordination with your game console, our youth are proud to be involved in activities like: Corps Cadets, Jr. Soldiers, Brass band and our Teen Youth group.
Corps Cadets are The Salvation Army of tomorrow. They are interested in furthering their exploration of The Salvation Army. They want to show their caring and dedication through different acts of service and fellowship.
Jr. Soldiers are The Salvation Army the day after tomorrow. They attend classes every Wednesday night and enjoy expanding their knowledge and the fellowship of each other.
Our Brass Band is split into two parts, Beginner and Advanced. The advanced band usually plays during the morning worship service and sometimes at our kettles during Christmas time. The beginner band is working on improving their skills.
Our Teen Youth Group is comprised of teens in high school and middle school who want to be with others their own age. They are active in our morning worship in different roles and have fun doing it. They also attend many different things such as concerts, service activities and movies. In addition to having fun, they are pumped up for Jesus and enjoy doing things for Him.
