Needs

July 30, 2009 by ndelavergne · Leave a Comment

The Salvation Army of Lafayette, IN  has been here since May of 1896 helping people with their Basic needs like food, shelter, clothing, health, and spiritual needs. We work with all ages by having programs for children and adults. From time to time we need the help of others. When the time comes and you have the time give us a call and ask what do we need that you can help with. The work of the Salvation Army goes on all year round not just at Christmas when you see the Red Kettle or summer when you hear about summer camps. The needs of people are always before us as they are you.

Basic needs do not end nor will the Work of The Salvation Army.

Thank you for thinking of us during your time of need and remembering us in our time of need.

We have a old saying (Need Knows, No Season) how true it is.

May God bless you as the season of summer begins to turn to fall.

Tools For Schools

Time for school is just around the corner and so is the Tools For Schools Event. This will be Saturday August the 8th, 8:30a.m. to Noon at The Salvation Army, 1110 Union Street, Lafayette, Indiana.

Parents should bring a Photo I.D., Social Security card for each child in the family, and proof of income. Families of students attending schools outside Lafayette School Corporation should bring a copy of their school supply list with them.

Each year we have shortages of certain school supplies so we can not guarantee that you will get all of the supplies on your list. We will do our best to meet the needs of your student.

To learn more about this program please call 765-742-0006 and ask for Eloise Lewellen or e-mail her at eloise_lewellen@usc.salvationarmy.org, she is in the office on Tuesdays.

We wish to thank all, who have helped out and will help see this program continues.
