Parents Camey and Levi Madras have experienced what other parents hope they never experience – and that is the loss of a child. Almost a year has gone by since 4 year old Braxton’s death, and yet mom and dad take the opportunity to give back to others by collecting over 100 new toys for The Salvation Army Christmas Toy Shop to be held next week. Four year old Braxton loved to give to others at Christmastime and so the joyous tradition will continue from year to year. Mom says that when life throws curveballs, you just try to give back. Camey and Levi know that when each child receives a toy on Christmas Day, they will receive a little bit of Braxton, and that’s a good thing. Making sure every child receives a gift this Christmas helps to keep Braxton’s joy alive.
It’s not too late to be a part of the giving. Anyone wishing to donate new toys to The Salvation Army Christmas Toy Shop may do so through the end of this week for distribution next week.
Thanks Madras family for sharing Braxton’s joy this Christmas – and thanks, Braxton, for all the great toys!
