The Salvation Army provides spiritual services to anyone God brings across our path.
The Salvation Army gave me a place to call home, surrounded me with people who loved me and encouraged me in my relationship with Christ and disciplined me along the way, too. The Salvation Army accepted me as I am and never asked me to be anything different. I thank God for The Salvation Army church.
We have classes for all ages and stages! Our Current classes include Adults, Young Adults, Children, Teens and a Membership Class. We also provide coffee and breakfast for those that attend Sunday School. We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Orange, an organization we believe will help us better impact children, teenagers, and families for years to come.
There is significant alignment between our organizations. Just like The Salvation Army, Orange has a message that is “based on the Bible.” Their ministry is “motivated by the love of God.” And they create resources that teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and lead kids, teenagers and adults to serve others.
The Salvation Army Church is a nice, friendly, welcoming body of believers where "everybody knows your name" and we have lots more room for you at our table.
In Lafayette Salvation Army Officers (such as Lt. Rachel and Aaron Johnson) serve as at Salvation Army Worship in Lafayette. These churches are the heart of Salvation Army Ministry. Salvation Army Churches, often know as corps are made up of congregations of soldiers (church members) and adherents. These congregations meet regularly on Sunday mornings, at 11:00am although we do have other meetings during the week.
The Salvation Army is considered a protestant denomination of the Christian Church with beliefs that are in line with the mainstream of Christian belief. Salvation Army Officers are ordained ministers that can perform marriages and dedicate children and who regularly provide ministerial duties for their congregations. You can find our doctrinal beliefs here:
