The staff and volunteers at The Salvation Army in Marion are working at full capacity to ensure our Christmas efforts will be successful this year. So, what does a successful Christmas mean to us?
- It means that the 911 children represented in our Angel Tree program will have a new outfit and a toy or two to open up on Christmas morning.
- It means that the over 400 families who applied for Christmas assistance will have food on their table this month.
- It means that the Christmas Red Kettle campaign goal of $65,000 will be reached, or even surpassed, to support the various social services and programs The Salvation Army provides all year long.
- But most importantly, it means that those who are struggling to find hope and joy during this holiday season, will be able to find both at The Salvation Army. That’s what makes our Christmas efforts a real success!
There are many ways you can help make this Christmas a successful one including volunteering to ring the bell at one of our many locations throughout Marion and Gas City, by being an Angel for one of the many children who will otherwise go without this year, or simply by giving generously to the Red Kettle campaign.
Together, let’s make sure Christmas remains a time of hope and joy for those in need in our community.
