Back to School Clothing Giveaway – August 5 & 6, 2009
The approach of another school year brings a mixture of reactions for students and parents alike. There is always a sense of excitement about new teachers, new classrooms, and maybe a new school!
But for some, there is also a sense of dread and concern about the cost of going back to school. As anyone with children or as an adult trying to work and go to school knows, tuition, the cost of books and clothing can sometimes stretch beyond the available resources.
If you’re a student, young or old, preparing for school and need help with clothing and/or back-to-school supplies plan to visit our Clarksville Thrift Store facilities on August 5 or 6 this year for help. Each student will be eligible to receive, free of charge, 8 items of clothing. There will also be school supplies available.
All you need to do is bring a “proof of address” and either a “verification of school enrollment” or a “birth certificate” to The Salvation Army, 528 N. Hallmark Blvd on either Wednesday August 5th or Thursday August 6th between the hours of 10 am and 7 pm.
For more information call TheSalvation Army at 812-280-0417.
