The Salvation Army took a challenge from the Northern Indiana Foodbank in 1997 to develop a choice model where people could come in and “shop” for items they could use.  The SA took the challenge and became the first pantry offering “choice” in Kosciusko County.

The Choice Pantry provides a means for individuals and families to come and choose items on a monthly basis.

Non-food items are available as well when in stock.  The pantry is open Monday to Friday8 AM to 11:30 AM

The Northern Indiana Foodbank awarded The Salvation Army with the “Agency of the Year” fighting hunger in Northern Indiana in 2012.
